Kaskipuu presents its largest factory investment and new low-carbon solutions at the FinnBuild trade fair
Kaskipuu welcomes all professionals to the FinnBuild trade fair to learn about the most significant investment in the company's history and the new opportunities it brings.
During 2026, Kaskipuu will concentrate all its door production in Finland at its new modern factory in Ylikiiminki, which will enable a wider product range and better delivery reliability. At the FinnBuild exhibition stand, visitors will be able to see how this change will improve the customer experience and open up new, flexible ways of developing the window and door portfolio.
Kaskipuu's CEO Sami Tuokko says that the investment has focused on customers, responsibility, and consumers.
"For our employees, the new factory is a more modern and safer working environment. For our customers, we can make more environmentally friendly products and develop new products for our portfolio more flexibly, both for windows and doors", says Tuokko.
Low carbon emissions are another important aspect of Kaskipuu's exhibition stand, and the company's wood designs have now become its flagship product range. Hanna Luukkonen, Kaskipuu's marketing manager, reveals the company's ambitious goals and explains that they have invested in reducing the carbon footprint of their products and are constantly thinking of new solutions, for example, for the materials used in exterior doors, which use metal and glass.
"We have ambitious internal goals in this area, and our low-carbon door series is one concrete example of this", Luukkonen explains.

Introducing the new factory in Ylikiiminki
The carbon footprint of each Kaskipuu wood door model can now be calculated separately, and the doors are made from domestic eco-wool and certified Finnish wood. The new factory in Ylikiiminki and the window production in Viitasaari form an efficient whole that directly benefits the customer. Production Manager Rikuville Kokko says that both door and window production benefit from centralization, as eliminating certain capacity bottlenecks enables a broader product portfolio. According to Kokko, the range of doors manufactured is wide, as Kaskipuu manufactures solid and glass-paneled doors from both wood and HDF.
"The glass comes from Finland, as do the fittings and locks. Nowadays, fire and sound insulation are becoming increasingly important in doors. These are also taken into account in manufacturing", Kokko continues his description of modern production.
Investment Director Timo Lehtinen mentions that Kaskipuu has also invested significantly in robotics and new production equipment, some of which is fully customized to Kaskipuu's needs and provides a clear competitive advantage in manufacturing. The new factory has also improved the company's recycling rate, as the production waste generated at the factory can now be used directly for heating the factory. Despite the challenging market situation in the construction industry, Kaskipuu's turnover has remained at around EUR 60 million, which reflects the company's strong position in Finland, the other Nordic countries, and the Baltic states.
Kaskipuu's roots date back to 1978, when Eero Kaski made the first wooden exterior door for his own home in Ylikiiminki. This piece of craftsmanship marked the beginning of a long journey that has led to the company's current position as a pioneer in the window and door industry. The first door made by Eero is still preserved in the factory premises as a reminder of the company's history. Today, Matti Kaski is following in his father's footsteps, and the company has grown into an international player that aims to be the most sought-after partner in the industry.
Kaskipuu's extensive sales team looks forward to welcoming all new and existing customers and partners to the FinnBuild trade fair. At the Kaskipuu stand, customers can learn how energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products can support modern construction.
